Unit 1: States of Matter; Lesson 3: Liquids
When we started activity 4 - combining liquids, my son gave blowing bubbles for a use of dishwahsing liquid. As we also had water oil and glycerin on the table, after awhile of mixing fun I asked if we could try and see if any of the solutions would blow bubbles. This was such a hit as the kids tried to make the perfect mixture and send bubbles across the neighbourhood. The bubbles were quite different depending what was in the solution - the oil made them quite heavy but very pretty as they made rainbow patterns.
